Change of leadership at the Foconis Group

Herzogenrath, 3rd June 2024. At the end of 2023, four established software companies joined forces under the umbrella of Foconis GmbH. The group supports key departments in banks and savings banks with efficient and secure software solutions. With Olaf Pulwey as the new CEO, a familiar face within Foconis is moving to the top of the group. At Foconis Payment GmbH (formerly van den Berg FS GmbH), Sebastian Pöhlmann will take over the management.

At the end of 2023, four leading providers of finance and banking software joined forces in the Foconis Group to support the banking industry in the areas of payment, trading, compliance management, business intelligence and analytics. This successful transaction also marks the beginning of a new era for the management: Olaf Pulwey, previously CEO of FOCONIS AG, is taking over the management of the Foconis Group from Christian Fink, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.

Meanwhile, the group is consistently continuing along the path it embarked on at the beginning of the year: After the renaming of GenoData EDV-Systeme GmbH as Foconis Analytics GmbH and pdv Financial Software GmbH as Foconis Trading GmbH was recently renamed van den Berg FS GmbH in Foconis Payment GmbH. FOCONIS AG, which gave the group its name, is also on the verge of merging with Foconis Analytics GmbH, marking the final step in establishing Foconis as a strong, consistent brand in the market at the group and entity level. The new architect of success is Olaf Pulwey, and the entire Foconis Group will now benefit from his wealth of experience in his role as CEO of FOCONIS AG. Pulwey's responsibilities range from the strategic direction and consistent growth of the group to a matter close to his heart: "Sales and marketing have always been a great passion of mine. Fortunately, both are crucial to the success of a company or even a group," Pulwey confirms, "I can now combine my responsibilities and look forward to developing this great constellation."

Foconis Payment GmbH: Sebastian Pöhlmann takes the lead

Foconis Payment GmbH, formerly van den Berg FS GmbH, is a leading provider of innovative software solutions for payment transactions. With decades of experience in the areas of instant payments, individual payments, SEPA card clearing and SWIFT and EBICS connections, the company has established itself as a specialist. Sebastian Pöhlmann, formerly Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the company, is now solely responsible for the management of Foconis Payment GmbH. Christian Fink is handing over the position for personal reasons.
